Senior Python Developer (Híbrido, Miraflores)

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to work with an important international client.

You will have the opportunity to create the Python Develoment Area in Perú.

What You'll be Doing

• Learn all you can about our existing system and applications
• Design, code, test, and maintain software applications and systems
• Develop software solutions that meet the needs of end-users and stakeholders
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Debug and troubleshoot software defects and performance issues
• Develop and implement comprehensive testing plans, including unit, integration, and system testing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of code, processes, and project-related information
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Mentoring team members, assisting with onboarding new team members
• Collaborating with team members remotely and in different time zones
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Required skills and experience:

• 7- 10 years of experience creating, extending, and maintaining software web applications
• 5+ years of Python experience
• 5+ years of Git experience, ideally with GitHub
• 5+ years of Linux command line experience
• 5+ year experience integrating or creating one of REST, Web, or GraphQL APIs

Desirable:

• 3+ years AWS Cloud experience
• CI/CD pipeline experience, ideally with CircleCI
• SQL familiarity; you can handle code moderately complex SQL queries, but only when needed
• Django framework experience is ideal but not necessary, Flask or FastAPI would be beneficial as an alternative
• Strong and demonstrated data modeling experience with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal
• Ability to write documentation clearly and concisely, and to communicate well with non-technical stakeholders
• Understanding of common application stacks (nginx, uwsgi, etc.)
• Knowledge of web standards; excitement about new technologies
